Graduate Student Housing
The following recommendations have been compiled from current mechanical engineering graduate students at the University of Delaware.
Contact any member of the MEGA executive committee for a list of apartments in the Newark area and specific recommendations from current graduate students.
General Notes
- The University of Delaware currently does not provide graduate student housing except in very limited cases. Almost all graduate students live off campus in their own housing.
- The closer an apartment is to central campus, the more undergraduates will live there. Tsionas and Lang managed properties are primarily undergraduate housing.
- Most students choose to live in and around Newark, but that is not your only option. A number of students choose to live in nearby cities including Wilmington and Philadelphia. Public transportation is available from these cities but a car is HIGHLY suggested.
