Thesis Topic/Title: Experimental Investigations of the Structure-Property Relations of CO2-selective Zeolite Adsorbents
Thesis Description: My research interests focus on the synthesis of zeolites (high silica and siliceous zeolites with high micropore volume and small window size) and the applications of these zeolites on the separation of CO2 from N2 in the flue gas. Neutron diffraction studies are used to elucidate the detailed mechanism of CO2 adsorption in the zeolites. Other various catalyst characterization techniques are used to achieve the goal of the project: TGA, N2 liquid adsorption, SEM, EDX, XRD, NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis.
