The Kent County 4-H Livestock Advisory Committee is busy planning another fun and educational Livestock Day Camp for all Kent County Livestock project members. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Delaware State Fairgrounds. This livestock event is designed for young people currently involved with livestock projects and those interested in enrolling in one. Please note that if you plan to participate in the Livestock Day Camp, you must be present for the entire event. We will not be allowing participants to come and go throughout the day.
Fun, interactive learning sessions are planned throughout the day. A portion of Saturday’s training will count toward Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) certification, focusing on the production of safe, high-quality meat products. This provides an excellent opportunity for participants to earn their YQCA certification, which is required for all youth exhibiting market animals (steer, market lamb, market goat, or market hog) at the Delaware State Fair.
A detailed schedule of events will be emailed once registration is received. Parents are welcome to attend and participate in the day’s activities.
YOU MUST BE ENROLLED WITH YOUR CLUB THROUGH 4-H ONLINE, WHICH INCLUDES YOUR HEALTH/CODE OF CONDUCT/PHOTO RELEASE INFORMATION, TO ATTEND.
