We had great attendance at our first club meeting of the 4-H year! First, we talked about the rules and bylaws of our club.  Then, our club leaders talked about the project areas members can sign up for, including projects like:  sewing, archery, foods, arts and crafts, and livestock.  Finally, club members reported on their Delaware State Fair entries over the summer.  Everyone left the meeting excited about all the things we are going to learn and do this year.

The Peach Blossoms 4-H Club kicked off our September meeting with a fun and creative team activity called Shape It Up! Members were divided into groups, and each team was given the same shape. The challenge was to work together and use their teammates to build the shape as best as possible. Everyone got really creative, and it was so much fun seeing the different strategies teams came up with. To wrap up the game, all the teams joined together to form one big 4-H clover—a perfect symbol of teamwork and unity!

After the game, we took some time to go over all of the project areas available in our club this year. Members are excited to explore their interests, set new goals, and learn new skills. We’re looking forward to another wonderful year full of learning, leadership, and fun with 4-H!

Our last meeting we played garden statues. Then we did the 4H pledge and the American pledge. We voted for who’s going to be the president of the group. Almost everyone was there after the meeting. We had a snack and water. The snacks were pineapples, grapes, apples, and carrots. After the meeting, we played with the kids.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Dover Clovers’ Chipotle fundraiser. It was a great success.
On September 19th the Dover Clovers met. We started off with an ice breaker, “What is your favorite time of day?” What would your answer be? Our leader informed us about some upcoming events like the walk challenge, skill-a-thons and window display contest. She also informed us about the grants we can apply for in October.  As a new activity for our club, each member will give a presentation at our monthly meeting. The first presentation was given by our club president, Mia Peacock, who talked about her experience at college. At the next meeting we will judge her presentation then,  it will be my turn to present. Mia announced we have a new member joining the club. He will attend the October meeting. We ate a snack, then we worked on our window display, which will be on display at the Dover public library starting October 3rd.
