Dover Clovers 4-H Club
Reporter: Iset Landers

Thanks to a grant from the Delaware 4-H Foundation, the Dover Clovers were able to go on a field trip to the zoo in Cape May, New Jersey, on August 2, 2025. To get to the zoo, we drove to Lewes to catch the ferry. The ferry ride was great! We saw all these cool things like laughing gulls, buoys, radio towers, and dragonflies. We also played cards and had great talks.  When we got to the zoo, we saw a variety of different animals, including lions, bears, kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras, a red panda, and much more. I watched a presentation about siamang monkeys. At the ferry station on the way back from the zoo, there was free mini golf. I played with my friend while we waited to get on the ferry, then my mom got me some gelato. All the 4H members had a great day at the zoo, learning about the animals and having fun together.
