Westville 4-H Club
During Westville’s September meeting, we welcomed many new members. In order to get to know each other, the club officers facilitated games. Members enjoyed playing “4 Corners” and “Things I Like”. After everyone got to know each other, we started our business meeting. Members gave summer updates, including State Fair activities and State Camp. Returning members helped new members learn about the different 4H activities Westville participates in, like window display, litter barrel, Wreaths Across America, and a holiday parade. We closed our meeting by introducing some of our new project leaders and are excited for another year together as Westville 4-H Club.

The Harrington Sunshine 4-H Club had a fun first 4-H meeting in September! First, we did a “get-to-know-each-other” ice breaker because we have so many new members. It was great to meet new and old club members. Several members gave reports on their participation in the Delaware State Fair over the summer. We ended with a community service project making cookie goodie bags for the Harrington Senior Center. See everyone next month!

On September 17th, the Kent County Junior Counsel kicked off the new 4-H year with their first meeting. We were excited to welcome 16 members as well as multiple new members. At our meeting, we discussed the many activities we’ve participated in over the summer, such as Day Camp, State Camp, Environmental Camp, and the Delaware State Fair. Along with our old business, we also spoke about the Achievement Banquet and Great Pumpkin Day. Lastly, we went over and approved our updated version of the bylaws. All in all, our first meeting went very well, and we are looking forward to the upcoming year!
