Enrollment Procedure for NEW 4-H Volunteers:

The application process to become a NEW Delaware 4-H volunteer is straightforward and includes the following steps (do not enroll yourself in 4HOnline before completing all these steps):

  1. Contact: Prospective new 4-H volunteers should contact the Organizational Club Leader of the club they wish to serve or the respective County 4-H Office if interested in starting a new 4-H Club. This communication is required before processing forms or enrollment information online.
  2. Application: Complete the Volunteer Application and submit it to the County Office.
  3. Approval: The County 4-H Educator will notify you of successful approval of the University of Delaware background process. All new volunteers must pass the background check before being approved and working alone with youth in the 4-H club.
  4. Enrollment: Complete the enrollment process online by logging into 4-H Online using the following link: 4-H Online.
  5. Confirmation: The Organizational Leader will provide formal confirmation of enrollment to the new volunteer.

Please refer to the Delaware 4-H Online Family Guide for more detailed information.

Best regards,
