Favorite Foods Contest Results
March 2nd was an exciting day for Kent County 4-H, with 62 youths preparing food dishes for the 2024 Favorite Foods Contest. The event was held at the New Castle Building at the Delaware State Fair. Through this contest, participants not only make fabulous food items in the categories of Appetizers, Breads, International Dishes (Italian), Meats and Main Dishes, Side Dishes, and Desserts, but they also learned how to prepare a table setting, write a recipe correctly, and write a menu. The 4-Hers also used their presentation and communication skills during the interviews with their judge. It was an outstanding day to showcase our 4-H Youth in the foods project area. We would like to thank our judges for their time and expertise working with these youths during the day.
