2024 Kent County 4-H Public Speaking Contest Results
The 2024 Kent County Public Speaking Contest was held on Sunday, January 21st, at the Kent County Levy Court, with 49 Kent County 4-Hers participating. Participants shared many interesting and entertaining speeches; your creativity and writing were top-notch! There were several 4-Hers new to this contest, and they did an outstanding job; we can’t wait to witness your improvement each year. Likewise, the experienced 4-Hers also did an outstanding job, and we are very proud of your speeches and presentations.
We would like to thank the Kent County Levy Court for opening its doors and allowing us to host the public speaking event there. We greatly appreciate the management and staff for all their help setting up and taking down for the event.
Our event would not be possible without our dedicated 4-H Judges, who are all longtime 4-H supporters and youth advocates. The judges for 2024 included BJ VanKavelaar, Susan Eliason, Mardi Pyott, Connie Harrington, Marie Clement, Barbara Roos, Mike Petit deMange, Chad Robinson, Jody Sweeney, and Mark Del Vecchio.
