Favorite Foods Contest—March 4
Applications and Recipes are due to the office by
February 9, 2023
The Kent County Favorite Foods contest will be held in the Exhibit Hall at the Delaware State Fairgrounds on March 4.
4-H members can choose to enter one of the following categories:
Appetizers
Breads
Cupcakes, Cookies, or Brownies (Cloverbuds and Beginners ONLY)
Dessert
International Dish: Italian
Main Dish
Side Dish
Participants will select a favorite recipe to make and prepare a table setting to display their dish to the judge. Members must submit a complete entry form (all three pages) with the selected recipe and meal plan that includes the prepared dish. All participants will be sent a scheduled time to arrive. We must remember Food Safety at this event, so please make plans now to keep COLD foods COLD and HOT foods HOT. This contest is only open to Active 4-H Members. The 3-Page Entry can be found attached to this post, and fillable forms on the State Website at this link: Contest and Events. *Cloverbuds are eligible to participate but are limited to Cookies, Cupcakes, or Brownies.*
The Kent County Food Judging Contest will be held at the same time at the Delaware State Fair Exhibit Hall.
