Past Events
It is April and Westville is off to a great start. At the Oyster dinner, where our Basket was displayed and sold, our 302-Proud basket sold for $425. We are proud of everyone’s dedication towards the basket and are thrilled with the outcome. State camp is right around the corner and entries have opened this month. We have many of our club members that are excited to go to state camp this year. Another thing that is right around the corner is the Delaware State Fair! Entries also opened at the beginning of this month and it is crazy that the fair is almost here. Many, including myself, are ready and can’t wait for this fair season and see how we do this year.
New Events
The annual Horse Bowl registrations are due by April 8th. We have a few club members also participating in the Horse bowl this year. Our Litter Barrel is looking Great! Our club members have been putting a lot of work into this barrel this year and are excited to see how we do.  The Turkey Hill Experience Field trip- Registration is required on the 21st. We have a couple of members that are ready for this field trip this year. They are ready to see how ice cream is made and have some Chick-Fa-La for lunch. Many are also excited to make some of their own and miss a day of school. The Delaware 4-H Legislative Hall Day Registration is due the 22nd. On Legislative Day, kids go and watch what happens at Legislative Hall for a day. Many members like the experience and are thrilled to go and watch it again this year. That’s it for the Month of April, Happy Easter!

The meeting was called to order by our President – Bryan who started the meeting. Then Michael and Jaxen lead the pledges followed by the Secretary – Sydney doing roll call. Next, we went outside to play catch for our healthy living activity that Michael set up. Bryan then went over old and new business that led in to the upcoming events for the month. For the next meeting, we decided that we will be doing an activity day so that we can have our items ready for the State Fair. After the formal meeting was over we broke out into three activities, propagating plants, litter barrel painting, and collecting trash for the barrel. We are excited for the fair season to begin.
