Dear Delaware 4-H Leader,
Welcome to spring 2022 as we look to begin a busy season of 4-H activities in our clubs and programs across Delaware! As we emerge from these last two challenging years, we felt it important to gather 4-H volunteers for a celebration of thanks and renewal at our 2022 Delaware 4-H State Leader Forum, being held at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in the Department of Agriculture Commodities Building on Saturday, May 14th from 9:00am-Noon.
As opposed to past leader forums, which are full-day activities with curricular content and learning workshops, this year’s event will be a relaxed gathering to reconnect with fellow leaders from throughout the state, in order to find out what’s new in the Delaware 4-H Office and plan for the warm months ahead which are already packed with 4-H events.
A tentative schedule for the day is listed here:
9:00am-9:30am: Registration and Continental Breakfast
9:30 am-10:00 am: Welcoming Remarks and Updates from Lt. Governor Bethany Hall Long, Dr. Ernie López and 4-H State Program Leader Doug Crouse
10:00 am-10:45 am: Youth/Adult Panel with Question and Answer Period on Building Up Our Youth Post Covid-19
11:00 am-11:45 am: All Attendee Workshop on Adults Building up Youth and Each other
Noon: Lunch and Fellowship
(To-Go Lunches will be available)
These last two years have been tremendously difficult for so many of us, especially our youth. Today, I ask that you register here and make the time to join us at the 2022 Delaware 4-H Leader Forum, as we seek to reconnect and reenergize our Delaware 4-H family in this beautiful season of new beginnings.
Yours in 4-H,
Dr. Ernie López
