Favorite Foods Contest Results
March 5th was an exciting day for Kent County 4-H with 55 youth preparing food dishes for the 2022 Favorite Foods Contest. The event was held at the Delaware State Fair Exhibit Hall. Through this contest, participants not only make fabulous food items in the categories of Appetizers, Breads, Meats and Main Dishes, Side Dishes, and Desserts, but they also learned how to prepare a table setting, write a recipe correctly, and prepare a menu. The 4-Hers’ also used their presentation and communication skills during the interviews with their judge. It was an outstanding day to showcase our 4-H Youth in the foods project area. We would like to thank our judges for their time and expertise during the day in working with these youth. We would like to thank also the following volunteers who assisted with the event: Leader’s Committee: Sandy Reynolds, Joanne Carter, Shana Galloway, Diana Dill, Karen Crouse, and April Mahoney.
