4-H Goat Award 2021

Purpose:
This award will recognize a Kent County 4-H member for their work in the 4-H Goat Project area during the past 4-H year.
Criteria:
Submission of an essay on the topic of “What I Hope to learn from showing a Market Goat.” Note: Essay can be handwritten or typed. Please make sure the essay is legible. PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ON THE ESSAY, but please enclose a 3 x 5 index card with your name, age, email, phone number, mailing address, and club.
Goat Essay must be postmarked and submitted by the 4-H member by the required due date or can be emailed directly to sandylandfarm@yahoo.com.

Additional Requirements for Recipient of Award:
- Award winner must agree to monthly visits by Wayne Moore to ensure goat is in acceptable show condition. Wayne will be available to help with any feeding, clipping, showing or basic care questions.
- Youth must agree to show the goat awarded at the Kent County 4-H Livestock Show and the Delaware State Fair.
