SCRATCH Club
This club is for youth ages 8-15 who are beginner and intermediate SCRATCH users. It is not necessary for children to be members of Delaware 4-H. This club will be led by 4-H teens. After registering, you will receive an email with the link to join the meetings the week of our first meeting.
Can you provide more details about this? What will the kids be doing?
Please contact Jenny Trunfio at jtrunfio@udel.edu for more information.
The Scratch Club will be meeting weekly March 18th through April 29th. The members will be led through the process of coding in Scratch starting on the first day of logging on creating an account, what sprites are, how to change backgrounds, etc. Participants will be working on their own account and can share and ask questions as they are coding. We will be creating a “class” that all members will share their projects to so everyone can see the progress they have made through the class. So, each meeting they will receive information/instruction on how to create a new type of code, have time to create, then we will close with sharing of their progress on their projects. They can work between meetings or not as they wish.
Our TECH team teens will be taking turns facilitating each week.
