February 2, 2021 UPDATE: Favorite Foods Contest is postponed to a later date. Members can still submit their applications. When the Favorite Foods event is rescheduled, we will allow new contest registrations to be submitted and will confirm the participation of those who have submitted their entries previously.
Favorite Foods Contest
The Kent County Favorite Foods contest will be held in the Exhibit Hall at the Delaware State Fairgrounds on March 6th. 4-H members can choose to enter in one of the following categories:
Breads
Main Dish
Side Dish
Cookies, Cupcakes and Brownies (Cloverbuds and Beginners Only)
Dessert
Appetizer
Breakfast Casserole
Participants will select a favorite recipe to make and prepare a table setting to display their dish to the judge. Members will need to submit a complete entry form (all 3 pages) with the selected recipe and meal plan that includes the prepared dish. All participants will be sent a scheduled time to arrive. It is very important that we remember Food Safety at this event so please make plans now to keep COLD foods COLD and HOT foods HOT. This contest is only open to Active 4-H Members. The 3-Page Entry can be found attached to this post and fillable forms on the State Website HERE. *Cloverbuds are eligible to participate but are limited to Cookies, Cupcakes, or Brownies.*
The Kent County Food Judging Contest and County Photography Contest Display will be held at the same time at the Delaware State Fair Exhibit Hall.
