Delaware 4-H is supporting the “Delaware Goes Purple” initiative. This initiative encourages education and awareness around the topic of substance abuse.  Delaware 4-H encourages you to discuss this current crisis with your club members and families.  Attached are two pdf documents that explain the cause and ideas on how to help.  Consider helping to support the cause within your club.

WHY DE Goes Purple Initiative:

Did you know?

  •  90% of addictions get their start in the teenage years and that drug overdoses kill more than cars, guns, and falling each year.

  • One person dies every 19 minutes from a drug overdose in the United States.

  • 85 Million people are impacted in some way by substance abuse from family members, friends, caregivers & employers.

  • Hope and Help are available in Delaware!  Visit Delawaregoespurple.org for more information.
