Harrington Sunshine had our first club meeting of the new 4-H Year on Zoom and we had 22 members present.  It was great to see everyone’s faces since we could not be together in person. We would like to also welcome our officer team for this year: Carmen Blanchette (President), Rebecca Kemp (1st Vice-President), Addison Brode (2nd Vice- President), Weston Williams (Secretary), Alexis Starke (Treasurer), and Anthony Blanchette (Club Reporter. Our officers would like to welcome all new members to their first year and all members to a fresh 4-H year. Harrington Sunshine members and leaders are looking forward to the day when we can all get back together for in-person activities. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Kent County Jr. Council Club News September 2020

Brenna Geidel – Reporter

Kent County Jr. Council held its second meeting of the year on September 15. We started off this meeting with a mindfulness activity lead by Alyssa Whittaker. During this activity, we learned about the importance of mindfulness as well as some breathing exercises among other things. After speaking on county updates and old business we moved on to talk about the 4-H STEM challenge, the 4-H yard sign challenge, and the Kent County Achievement Banquet. Also, we reminded everyone that record books are due soon. Overall the meeting was very successful and informative, we are all looking forward to the start of the new 4-H year!
