Kent County 4-H Weekly Update (2).png

7/22/2020

Dear 4-H Families and Friends,

The Delaware State Fair will officially open tomorrow, and although the 4-H Department will not have much of a presence this year, there are some club exhibits and conservation boxes on display.  The entries that were entered by uploading pictures will be judged this week.  I anticipate instructions on how to view results to come next week, probably sometime after Wednesday.

As you have probably seen, for the past 6 weeks, we have been announcing that the Kent County 4-H program has started a blog to share information.  Next Wednesday will be the last weekly email update.  All future updates and information will be shared on the blog.  It is suggested that you visit the blog and subscribe to the notification system. https://sites.udel.edu/kentcountyclover/

The August newsletter will be posted on the blog, all newsletters will be posted by 9 am on the 1st of each month.  Please use this tip sheet to help you find the newsletter information.https://sites.udel.edu/kentcountyclover/resources/

Kent County 4-H has planned a statewide Poultry Project Group.  The first meeting date is August 4.  Please be sure to register for the first three sessions.  Topics for each session will be shared soon.

If anyone has any feedback on how the 4-H program can better serve your 4-Her, your 4-H family, as a leader, as a volunteer or as a club, during this time in which the Extension Office is closed, please let me know.  At this time, the University of Delaware staff are being told to continue working from home until further notice, and it could possibly continue beyond the summer time frame.  If you have experienced challenges or barriers through the last several months, please let me know.   I would like to hear from you and have some conversation about possible remedies.

Your friend in 4-H,

Kristin
