Mission statement

WVUD has a triple mission: to serve the University of Delaware, to serve Newark (our city of license) and to train students interested in broadcasting.

Who we are

WVUD, the Voice of the University of Delaware, is the University’s non-commercial educational radio station. Our offices and studios are located in the Perkins Student Center. Our transmitting facilities are located atop the Christiana East residence hall.

What we do

WVUD is operated by University of Delaware students, a University staff of two and community members. Our programming is as diverse as our membership. We have everything! Name any kind of music that interests you and we have it on our schedule at some time throughout the week. Some stations claim to have the most variety or claim to be on the cutting edge of radio. WVUD doesn’t make claims – it delivers. We are here to give you, the listener, what you cannot hear elsewhere on the radio dial.
