John D’Arcy is a Professor in the Department of Accounting & MIS, Lerner College of Business and Economics, at the University of Delaware. He is also the Robert and Kathy Deutsch Faculty Fellow. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Temple University with a specialization in Management Information Systems. Prior to joining academia, he was employed by Ford Motor Company as a cost accountant and financial systems analyst.
Dr. D’Arcy’s research interests include information security and IT risk management. Along with focusing on behavioral applications to information security, his recent research examines causes and consequences of data breaches. Outlets where his research appears include MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and MIT Sloan Management Review. He currently serves as Associate Editor at MIS Quarterly and the Journal of the Association for Information Systems.
