Farber Retirement on September 21, 2023
IMPORTANT
On Thursday, September 21, 2023, the Farber cluster will be fully retired and no longer accessible. Farber’s head node and all file systems will be permanently shutdown in preparation for the eventual destructive disposal of storage media (to protect any data present on the hardware). All Farber accounts will be deactivated and the farber-users google group will be removed.
All Farber users are urged to archive any remaining important data residing on Farber’s file systems as soon as possible. Any data present in /home or /home/work directories on Farber will no longer be available after Thursday, September 21, 2023.
We must finally say goodbye to the Farber cluster. Thank you to all Farber cluster users for your cooperation and contributions to the UD research and HPC communities.
