The IT Research Cyberinfrastructure group continues to coordinate and offer XSEDE HPC workshops throughout the year. To allow for greater participation, many of the workshops are offered twice to accommodate research groups, students and faculty schedules.  For a complete list of workshops offered each year, see XSEDE HPC Workshops: UD Satellite Site.

August 6-7 Big Data Workshop Re-cap:

The Big Data 2-day workshop focuses on topics such as Hadoop and Spark, as well as machine learning with Spark and deep learning with Tensorflow. It is a very ambitious agenda covering the guts of a semester course. However, the tools have reached the point (Spark and TF) where you can do some powerful things at a high level, and this workshop uses examples and exercises to show you how.

Video recordings of workshops can be found on the XSEDETraining YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/XSEDETraining

September 3-4: MPI Workshop

This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to MPI programming. Both days are compact, to accommodate multiple time zones, but packed with useful information and lab exercises. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using MPI – the standard programming tool of scalable parallel computing.
