There will be an outage of the campus I.P (Data) Network, due to the relocation of a network distribution switch and firewall on Tuesday, June 4th, between the hours of 6:00am-8:00am.

 

The actual outage is expected to be less than 5 minutes, but a 2hr maintenance window is requested for testing and any required troubleshooting. In addition, services in the Chapel St. data center including HPC, DEOS weather stations, and Anyconnect VPN could be affected. The following buildings on campus will be affected;

There will be no IP data network connectivity for normal Emergency Telephone/Voice Services, Fire Alarms, Security Alarms, Video Surveillance Cameras, and all Facilities owned system including BAS Metering, Smart Lighting, etc.

 

DURING THE SCHEDULED NETWORK OUTAGE, THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM AND INTRUSION ALARM MONITORING WILL NOT BE OPERATIONAL. PLEASE REPORT ALL FIRE ALARM AND INTRUSION ALARM ACTIVATIONS TO UDPD AT 302-831-2222 BY WAY OF A CELL PHONE IF POSSIBLE.
