The year 2015 has been an especially dangerous one. University of Delaware Information Technologies (IT) has noticed a rise in the number of phishing attacks on the University community. Even more disturbing, there’s a corresponding rise in the number of spear phishing attacks, which steal UD logos, names and other information and use them to create convincing fake emails.
In response, IT and the University administration have partnered to emphasize the importance of using two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect UDelNet accounts.
