Island Policy Lab’s research focusses on three key themes that define vulnerable sector and challenges faced by islands: Energy and Climate Change, Environment and Natural Resources, and Industry and Economy.  It is within these overarching themes that  IPL researchers conduct applied research and provide solutions to overcome island vulnerabilities.

Energy & Climate Change

Developing renewable energy and addressing climate change is essential for islands’ progress.  IPL research is focussed on uncovering policies and technologies for island sustainable and overall progress.
