ART TREMBANIS

Art Trembanis is an oceanographer at the University of Delaware where he develops and utilizes advanced autonomous systems to map and explore oceans and lakes around the world filling in blank spots on the map. He has a passion for making and tinkering with electronics for low cost sensors and robotic systems. He teaches classes in field robotics and looks for new ways to visualize complex data using VR, AR, and 3D printers. When he isn’t chasing robots around in the field he enjoys mentoring the next generation of environmental roboticists and teaching study abroad programs.
