Many people travel with their laptops, tablets, and smartphones, all of which contain valuable information. Do they contain confidential work information? Are these mobile electronic devices configured to auto-connect to servers or drives with confidential work information?

Even your personal devices are chock-full of confidential information—maybe not business information—but you store passwords, login information, financial information, location information, messages, photos, and other personal data on these devices.

All this data is at risk when you travel because you are often in environments over which you have no control. You should take precautions when preparing to travel, while traveling, and upon returning from your travels to make sure your information is safe and secure.
