Honors College NSO Checklist

Take your Math Placement Exam (MPE) by June 14. More information is available on the math department website. All students are required to take the MPE by the June 14 deadline unless you received a score of 5 on the AP Calculus AB or BC exam, or received credit for any UD MATH course other than 010, 166, and 266. Please refer to the math department website.

  • It is essential that you complete the test by the deadline to have access to math and other related courses in your first semester. You can take it more than once but it is important to have a score before we meet with you.
  • If your major requires the calculus sequence, consider taking the Honors Calculus Test to be eligible to take Honors MATH 242 (Calculus 2). Learn more here.

Register for an Honors virtual advisement appointment.  Appointments begin mid- to late- June; register for your time slot in My Blue Hen Home after June 5.

  • If the available dates do not work for you, or if you change your major after you select a virtual appointment, please contact the Honors College at askhonors@udel.edu.

Complete the Honors forms. There are two (2) forms everyone will complete.

  • The Honors Pre-Advisement Form helps us learn more about you to prepare for your virtual advisement appointment. Due Monday, June 10.
  • The Honors Colloquium and Honors ENGL 110 form helps us choose a course that fits your schedule and interests.  Every first year Honors student will take both these courses, one in fall and one in spring.
  • To learn more about these courses check out the Honors ENGL110/Colloquia Descriptions
  • If your major has flexibility in the first semester, you can fill out the course interest form. Please refer to this list when considering courses.

Attend an Honors College: Enriching your UD experience presentation.

  • If you are attending an on-campus orientation program, this will be on your schedule.
  • If you are attending a virtual orientation program, we will be in touch with potential dates.
