PINK TRIANGLE LEGACIES PROJECT – LGBTQ+ HISTORY ASSOCIATION PAID INTERNSHIPS

The Pink Triangle Legacies Project is happy to announce two new paid internships for those interested in queer and trans history. The Pink Triangle Legacies Project (PTLP) is a grassroots initiative that honors the memory of the Nazis’ queer and trans victims and carries on their legacy by fighting homophobia and transphobia today through education, empowerment, and advocacy. We are seeking candidates for the following two internships. The deadline for applications is Monday, August 11 at 11:59pm Pacific Time

This experienced, talented, self-driven intern will work with the PTLP team to design a traveling exhibition that tells the dynamic history of the pink triangle, from its origins as a Nazi concentration camp badge to its reclamation as a global rallying cry for LGBTQ+ rights. This internship is:

  • Fully Virtual: All work is conducted collaboratively online and requires no in-person commitments
  • Part Time: Approximately 7 hours per week from September 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026 (up to 250 billable hours total) 
  • Paid: $17 per hour 
  • Open to anyone in the United States who is at least 18 years old and can work proficiently in English  

This detail-oriented, self-driven intern will work with the PTLP Director to help manage the Project’s internal and external communications. This internship is: 

  • Part-Time: Approximately 6 hours per month from September 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026 (with the option to renew for another 6 month period)​​
  • Fully Virtual: All work is conducted collaboratively online using Zoom and Google Workspace and requires no in-person commitments​​​
  • Paid: $17 per hour (up to 40 billable hours for the 6 month period)
  • Open to anyone in the United States who is at least 18 years old and can work proficiently in English
