Micro-Internship Opportunities for Museum Studies Minor Students

Fall Mini Exhibition Internships

The UD Museum Studies and Public Engagement program, in conjunction with the Arden Craft Shop & Museum and with UD’s Special Collections Department, a unit within the Library, Museums, and Press, is offering 3 short-term internships this fall to give selected students experience in interpretation, research, and collections handling, as they develop small-scale exhibitions utilizing no more than 10 items.

These internships are open to UD Museum Studies and Public Engagement minors and to graduate students pursuing a Museum Studies and Public Engagement certificate. Applicants must have taken HIST203 and/or MSST 401/601 and be enrolled in MSST 407/607 or MSST 610. Email Lois Stoehr with any questions. Click here to apply.


Museum Studies Micro-Internship @ Greater Harrington Historical Society
Saturday, September 21, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Application Deadline 9/13 @ noon
Get some hands-on experience with collections and a tiny exhibition through a one-day workshop at the Greater Harrington Historical Society. Help with cataloguing, rehousing, and interpretation.  Preference for some prior experience with collections handling. Transportation and lunch provided. Students are also welcome to drive independently; Harrington is approximately 90 minutes south of Newark. This opportunity is open to UD Museum Studies and Public Engagement minors and graduate students pursuing a certificate. There are no pre-requisites. Email Lois Stoehr with any questions.
