About the Center for Health Profession Studies & Advising Information
CHPS Mission
The Center for Health Profession Studies assists students and alumni across all colleges in exploring and successfully transitioning to post-graduate education in health professions. CHPS' Advising & Appointment Policies
Advising Policy:
The Center for Health Profession Studies provides advisement services for actively enrolled University of Delaware students and alumni within three years of their graduation date. Prospective students are encouraged to connect with us through admissions-sponsored events. Alumni who are outside of our three year advising window but are interested in obtaining advising services can request a volunteer health professions advisor through the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions.
Appointment Policy:
Appointments with the Center for Health Profession Studies at times are in high demand. For this reason we ask that you respect the staff and fellow students and arrive on time for your appointment or cancel with reasonable notice.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled advising appointment, you may be asked to reschedule
- If you need to cancel your appointment, contact your scheduled advisor at least 24 hours in advance. This will allow your appointment to be utilized by another student.
Students who have three or more late or “no show” appointments in an academic year will not be able to schedule again with the Center for Health Profession Studies. Students may schedule again with the Center for Health Profession Studies after completing OAE’s Time Management Workshop and sending confirmation of completion to chps-advising@udel.edu.
