About

For prospective students:

From time to time, I receive inquiries from prospective PhD students to join my research group. While I’m glad to hear that people are interested in my work, please note that admission to our graduate program is not decided by me but by a separate committee. Furthermore, in our graduate program, all students must take advanced math courses and pass written qualifying exams as well as an oral candidacy exam during the first 3 years before they can work on a PhD with a faculty supervisor. Therefore, if you are interested, please apply online by submitting a full dossier via our University central application portal. More information can be found on the graduate program webpage of our department. If you wish, feel free to express your interest in me as a potential PhD advisor in your personal statement for your application dossier. You don’t need to ask for my support or permission beforehand.
