2015 Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program

AREA OF STUDY: Graduate thesis research in areas of importance to the DOE Office of Science

AWARD: The SCGSR program supports supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to conduct part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE national laboratory in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for a period of 3 to 12 consecutive months—with the goal of preparing graduate students for scientific and technical careers critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission.

2015 HS-STEM Summer Internships

AWARD: 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in homeland security related science, technology, engineering and mathematics (HS-STEM) Disciplines. Graduate students receive a $7,000 stipend plus travel expenses.

The American School of Classical Studies at Athens The Malcolm H. Wiener Laboratory for Archaeological Science Award: Funding for scholars pursuing interdisciplinary research on archaeological questions pertaining to the ancient Greek world and adjacent areas. Three different types of Fellowship funding are offered Post-Doctoral (3 year), Pre-Doctoral (2 year term), and Senior (5-10 months), as well as shorter duration, more focused Research Associate positions. Applicants are welcome from any college or university worldwide. |

The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) US/Canada Program Award: the MMMF awards annually grants of approximately $12,000 each; grants are not renewable. |

American Educational Research Association (AERA) Research Grants Award: AERA invites education-related research proposals using NCES, NSF, and other federal databases. Research Grants are available for faculty at institutions of higher education, postdoctoral researchers, and other doctoral-level scholars. Applications are encouraged from a variety of disciplines, such as but not limited to, education, sociology, economics, psychology, demography, statistics, and psychometrics. Awards for Research Grants are up to $20,000 for 1-year projects, or up to $35,000 for 2-year projects. |

American Educational Research Association (AERA) Dissertation Grants Award: With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the AERA Grants Program announces its Dissertation Grants competition. The program seeks to stimulate research on U.S. education issues using data from the large-scale, national and international data sets supported by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), NSF, and other federal agencies, and to increase the number of education researchers using these data sets. The program supports research projects that are quantitative in nature, include the analysis of existing data from NCES, NSF or other federal agencies, and have U.S. education policy relevance. |
