2015 Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program

AREA OF STUDY: Graduate thesis research in areas of importance to the DOE Office of Science

AWARD: The SCGSR program supports supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to conduct part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE national laboratory in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for a period of 3 to 12 consecutive months—with the goal of preparing graduate students for scientific and technical careers critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission.

AWARD: 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in homeland security related science, technology, engineering and mathematics (HS-STEM) Disciplines. Graduate students receive a $7,000 stipend plus travel expenses.

Smithosian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum Peter Krueger Summer Internship Program Award: These internships, which honor the memory of Peter A. Krueger, who was an intern at Cooper Hewitt, provide a stipend of $2,500. The internship program runs for 10 weeks over the summer beginning the third Monday of June. Housing is not provided. Approximately 5-10 Krueger Internships are available each summer |
