Welcome! My name is Giuliamaria and I am currently a PhD Student at the University of Trieste (Italy).
I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Pure Mathematics from the University of Trieste and I wrote my Master’s Thesis in Applied Topology under the supervision of Prof. Mattia Mecchia. In 2021 I received my Master’s in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware, where I worked with Prof. Chad Giusti. Up to this point, my research interests included Algebraic Topology and its applications to Neural Networks and Neurosciences.
I recently started the PhD program in Mathematics at the University of Trieste under the supervision of Prof. Luca Manzoni. Here I plan to expand and strengthen my Computer Science backgroud working on Evolutionary Algorithms.
I am one of the organizers of the Graduate Inter-university Math Seminars: a series of talks organized by graduate students for graduate students. Do you want to get in shape? Come to the GIM Seminars!
