Submitted by Audrey Sokol on the 2017 winter session program in Granada sponsored by the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures…
This week has been filled with many great adventures. The most exciting one being our excursion to Barcelona. Barcelona is well known for Parc Guell and the Sagrada Familia Basilica. Seeing these famous monuments was such an amazing experience, even though it rained the whole weekend! Coming back to Granada after being in Barcelona made me realize how different they both are. Granada is a quiet, but busy city in southern Spain, while Barcelona is large city in Spain’s Catalan region constantly filled with people touring, shopping and more. However, they are both filled with so much history and culture. I am sad that my program is coming to an end, but I can’t wait to see what this last week has in store. Adios!
