Rome: A City Like No Other

The Trevi Fountain

Rome is unlike any country I’ve seen before. The beautiful architecture along with the amazing history that goes back many years before our time makes the city so special and unique. Getting off the metro and seeing the colosseum right in front of me was an unreal experience. The colosseum was something I’ve always seen pictures of and admired, but seeing it in person was a whole different ball game. And the colosseum isn’t even half of the history that Rome has to offer. The Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and the Spanish steps were other sites that took my breath away. I can’t believe how much history can be in a singular city and how many years back it goes. The cities in the US are so new compared to Rome so it is crazy to think about how long ago these landmarks were built. I can’t wait to learn more about this amazing city that I get to call home for three weeks. (Submitted on January 14, 2024)
