Washington, D.C. : Finding My Rhythm

Submitted by Kelly Read on the 2019 spring semester program in Washington, D.C. …

This week was great! Work was really stressful, but I got to go to a briefing on Artificial Intelligence and Education and that made my week. It felt good to contribute to my policy group and feel like I was gaining valuable knowledge. Everyone has finally settled into the house and we have been busy exploring and getting to know each other. We even took a trip to the Capitol to get some professional photos taken. It was a really fun adventure! Not much else to report this week because it was pretty normal as I have finally found my rhythm and overall the stress is worth it because the memories I am making and the people I am meeting are what really shapes the whole experience! Plus, coming home from a busy day and getting to see the Capitol Building reminds me of how profound D.C. really is.
