  1. PURPOSETo ensure all activities related to the use of hazardous chemicals in laboratories are conducted in a safe manner as well as in compliance with OSHA regulations as specified in 29 CFR Part 1910.1450.
  2. POLICYNo person shall purchase, possess, use, transfer, ship, transport, synthesize, or dispose of any hazardous chemicals in the laboratory in any manner that is inconsistent with the Chemical Hygiene Plan and the requirements established by the University Chemical Hygiene Committee.
