New Databases

The library added a dozen new databases to its collections in July 2018. Click the titles below to learn about some of the highlights:

Explore the full list of new resources on the library’s new databases page, and look for information about fall 2018 database trials in a future post.

ACLS Humanities E-Book Collection

This valuable collection of e-books for the humanities, to which the library began to subscribe about 2 years ago, made a long overdue move to its new Fulcrum platform on August 1. Every book in the collection is included in DELCAT Discovery, so there’s no need to conduct a separate search, but the new platform provides an improved experience for readers.

Artstor Images in JSTOR

In a pilot program intended to promote access to Artstor images for users across disciplines, JSTOR is including a growing number of Artstor images (currently, about 840,000) in the search results for relevant queries. Please let JSTOR (and me!) know if the image results are relevant to your work.

In related news, Artstor now allows registered users to upload their own images to Personal Collections. Visit the Artstor support site for more detailed information on using Personal Collections.
