Governing Documents

The principal governing document of the academic program is the Faculty Handbook.  The Senate is responsible for maintaining and updating the Handbook.

Section 1.1 of the Faculty Handbook is the Constitution of the Faculty.  Among other things, it describes the composition of the Senate and the conduct of Senate meetings.

Promotion & Tenure policies and documents can be found in Section 4.4 of the Faculty Handbook and at the Provost’s Office, Faculty Policies webpage.  Also, most Colleges and Departments maintain their own websites with Promotion & Tenure information.
