Shake It Off Supports UD Parkinson’s Research
Shake It Off, a nonprofit organization working to bring awareness about exercise therapies and other research for Parkinson’s disease, recently gave $50,000 to the College of Health Sciences. Jodi Cianci, a member of the UD Class of 1988, presented the check from her family’s nonprofit to Christopher Knight, whose lab in the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology studies the effects of speed work on individuals with movement disorders like Parkinson’s. With this donation, Shake It Off has given more than $200,000 in support of Knight’s lab.
To see this collaboration in action, check out this video from Ashley Barnas earlier this year.
