Engineers Without Borders-USA is a non-profit, humanitarian organization of dedicated and enthusiastic students and professionals who believe everyone should have access to adequate sanitation, safe drinking water, and resources to meet their basic needs. After identifying a problem, our chapter at University of Delaware works closely with an international community and professional engineers to develop and implement sustainable solutions. Our completed projects include a potable water supply in Cameroon, improving access to clean water in the Philippines and a bridge in Guatemala. We are currently partnered with communities in Malawi improve their access to clean water as well as building structures to connect groups of people.
WHERE WE’VE WORKED

Our Goals
- To provide students with technical and cultural knowledge to effectively approach and solve world problems on a community-based level
- To develop and foster long-term relationships with developing communities and to help establish the necessary infrastructure to administer and maintain a sustainable solution
- To promote world citizenship in helping to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which include universal access to clean water by the year 2030
- To provide students with a multi-disciplinary international network of students, professors, and professionals dedicated to the betterment of society
