Well Pumping Test
Today we conducted a well pumping test to learn more about the quantity of water inside the well as well as to get a better understanding of the quality of water we are working with. This test was done over the course of several hours in order to get an idea of the well refilling rate. This also gave us a better understanding of the flow rate.
The image above shows Carley watching the water come out of the hose during the well pump test.
The image above shows the water level meter used to find the standing and dynamic water levels.
After a hard day’s work we all went out for ice cream! The image above shows a strawberry and vanilla swirl ice cream from Kips, a local Malawian ice cream parlor!
