The team arrived in Malawi this afternoon after two days of traveling! Following a short delay due to strong thunderstorms on the east coast, the team left Newark, NJ on Monday night and arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday. We stayed in South Africa overnight and caught a short flight to Blantyre this morning.

Upon arriving in Blantyre, we were met by Ernesto and Adrian–it was great to see familiar faces after a year since our last time in Malawi! We stopped in Blantyre to buy SIM cards and groceries, then drove to Zomba and settled in at Naminga’zi Farm.

We had a great dinner at Naminga’zi consisting of rice, cassava, green beans, and beef and then met as a team to plan our activities for tomorrow. We are all excited to get started!
