After our first full day in the field, the team is feeling tired but accomplished! Today was an introduction to both life in Malawi and in-person meetings with our NGO partner, VIP, and the villages of Liti and Nkagula for the first time in 3 years. We started our day with a meet and greet at VIP headquarters, then we proceeded to the villages. In each community, our team introduced ourselves to the members and held a meeting with the water committee to learn about their satisfaction with current wells in the community based on the recent rehabilitation conducted in 2021. To communicate desired locations for new wells, community members worked together to mark maps of their villages on the ground with locations of existing and desired wells.
