You’ve created your site and now wish you had selected a template. Is it too late? It’s not too late, and instructions for adding a template are included in this post.

Some things to keep in mind: Making this change is always easier if you have not created much content. If you have a lot of content, after selecting the new template, check the preview and carefully review all your pages. For example, if the new template uses navigation only on the left, and you had navigation both on the left and horizontally across the top, the pages associated with the horizontal links may not appear in the changed site. Are they gone? You should be able to edit your site navigation and add these page(s) to the left sidebar.

To add or change your overall Site Template:
Select Manage site from the More Actions pull-down list at the upper right corner in the site you want to modify. On the left under Site appearance, click either Colors and Fonts or Themes. At the upper right, click the Browse more themes link. This will bring up the Site Template browser that contains the University templates, etc. Click the template you want to use in your site and click Select. You must save the changes for the site appearance to take effect.

This may be confusing because the link name is Browse more themes rather than “Browse site templates.”
