Sponsor Description:
Local start-up company, MaxPran LLC, specializes in developing large payload, gas powered drones for search and rescue, agriculture, and surveying. Much of MaxPran’s current work focuses on hybrid (gas generator and lithium-polymer batteries) powered multirotors.
Faculty Advisor: Erik Thostenson
Presentation Time: 1:15-1:45
Room #: Room 120
Project Goal Statement:
The goal of this project is to design and develop a manufacturing process for high-quality and low-cost single fixed continuous propellers. The propellers will be made of an organic base surrounded by a composite shell to improve structural integrity and propeller strength, while being able to continuously fly for up to 24 hours with no damage to the model.
