Sponsor Description:
Local start-up company, Deca Aero Corp (Hockessin, DE), is developing small unmanned fixed wing agricultural spray planes. The main focus in terms of crops to be sprayed are corn and soybeans, and the payload capacity is planned for between 10 and 40 gallons. The company is in the early prototyping stage and is assessing feasibility of different designs.

Project Goal Statement:
The goal of this project is to design a new suspension system that is capable of supporting a 55lb fixed wing UAV with the goal of being able to take off and land in rough terrain. Additionally, the project team will design new wing extensions that allow for a more efficient flight.
